You are up a ladder. The phone rings. Which advert paid for that?
Most trade work still starts with a phone call, often while you are on a job. Track every directory, the van and your Google listing, and stop losing callers to the next firm on the list.
How Call Tracked helps trades
- A number for each directory, the van and Google Business Profile, so you know which listings to keep paying for
- Missed-call text-back keeps the lead warm until you can ring back
- AI flags emergencies and quote requests so you call those back first
- Recordings settle disputes about what was agreed on the phone
Emergency. Leak under the kitchen sink, water off at the mains. LS6. Wants someone today. Found you on Google Maps.
Which directories are worth it?
Most trades pay for at least one directory or lead site, and many pay for three or four. Fees add up quickly, and the sites' own reports tend to count profile views rather than jobs. Give each one its own number and within a couple of months you will know which are earning their place. It is common to find one that brings most of the work and another that has not rung in months.
Never miss the urgent ones
Emergency jobs are usually the most profitable, and the callers will not wait. Missed-call text-back replies within seconds, and AI tags calls that mention leaks, no heating, no power or lockouts as urgent, so they sit at the top of your call back list.
Recordings protect you
"You said it would be £200." Recordings let you check what was actually said about prices, access and timings, which saves arguments and occasionally a bad review.
Can I keep my mobile number on the van?
You can, but you will not know how many calls the van brings. A local tracking number on the van rings your mobile just the same.
I am a sole trader. Is it overkill?
Starter is built for sole traders: six numbers, recording, text-back and AI summaries for £49 a month. Our small business page explains more.
